Job Purpose and Summary

·  Minimum Bachelor level (Dutch HBO) or equivalent in a relevant field (preferably A, logistics, planning, procurement, APICS).
·  At least 3-5 years of work experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, and/or Inventory management.
·  Excellent numerical and analytical skills and proficient knowledge of MS Office.
·  Assertive team player with problem-solving positive and collaborative mind set.
·  Able to work independently and with minimal guidance.
·  Fluent Business English (both written and spoken).
·  Experience with Oracle and Transport Management Systems and /Warehouse Management Systems

The Logistics Specialist makes sure that  logistics processes and policies in the EMEA region are correctly followed –up with a key focus on driving continues improvement towards an effective, efficient  and integrated logistics operation.

·  Accountable for the balance between logistics cost and service levels within pre-defined business targets
·  Continuously seeking opportunities for reducing cost and maximising revenue on Canon corporate level and increasing customer satisfaction
·  Creates and monitors planning in line with business requirements/agreements
·  Accountable for the timely  delivery of goods in the satellite warehouses and at the customers in the right quality/quantity
·  Accountable for the timely creation of counter action plans in case of issues. Responsible for fixing route causes to make sure issues don not repetitively happen
·  Closely monitor issues (damages/theft)  with carriers and install clear counteractions to increase customer satisfaction and reduce costs/impact
·  Takes proper care of implementation of new logistics flows (such as setting up a new flow for a new product (3D printing)
·  Accountable for system setups and interface maintenance between for example Transport Management Systems and other systems
·  Responsible for monitoring agreed service levels and propose corrective actions where required.
