Currently we are looking for a Special Inspectors for immediate Building, Transportation, & Infrastructure Projects. The ideal candidate must meet some or all of the following requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, or Architecture
· A minimum of 3 years of experience inspecting construction work in the city of NY, varied in Size and complexity.
· Familiarity with Chapter 17 of the NYC building code.
· Currently holds a valid certification in 1 or more of the following:
· ICC Soils Special Inspector
· NICET Level I Geotechnical Certification
· NICET Level II Geotechnical Certification
· NICET Level III Geotechnical Certification
· Current training in: fall protection, scaffolding and ladders, work-zone safety, & minimum of 10-hour OSHA construction safety.
Qualified professionals will also have:
· Ability to communicate with colleagues and clients of all levels
· Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
· Ability to provide inspection reports in a timely manor
· Reliable means of transportation & valid driver’s license
· Willingness to obtain additional certifications
· Works well with a team and individually
· Familiarity with construction industry codes
· High School diploma or equivalent
