SUMMARY :  Collects samples of products or raw materials for Laboratory analysis by performing the following duties.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :  include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

Obtains samples of fertilizer from conveyor belts, rail cars, ships, barges, truck and bins using methods prescribed by AFPC.

 

Correctly identifies and labels each sample and returns to lab.

 

Assists with basic tests and riffling when required.

 

Other Duties:

 

Works as scale house attendant as needed.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : None

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS :  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :  High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and manuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

 

REASONING ABILITY :  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out multi-step instructions.  Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :

 

-Drivers License required.

-TWIC Card required.

-Personal Vehicle required.

-Cell phone required.
