Role synopsis

• Ensure timely and accurate Fixed Asset Accounting for a number of entities in the country supported by the team

• Ensure full reconciliations from ledgers to statutory accounts and corporate reporting

• Timely response to queries raised on accounts and other analyses

• Reporting and control activities to assure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in the country supported

• Support of timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes in accordance with the Group Reporting Manual and any other relevant standards and provide support for other Group reporting requirements such as Balance Sheet Integrity, Intercompany reconciliations and Group Charges

Key accountabilities

• Inventory Management, Fixed Asset Accounting (w/o capitalization)

·  Processing of disposals incl. preparation of disposal journals

·  Period end close (monthly, quarterly, year-end) - transfer of assets under construction to addition to fixed assets.
• Ensuring proper accounting treatment, particularly with regard to fixed assets management in SL, GL.

• Verification and handling of adjusting entries and transfers for capital expenditures.

• Screen and review inferior assets, preparation and booking of transfer posting documents.

• Process depreciation in terms of local GAAP and IFRS with appropriate sense check and analyse upcoming deviations.

• Ensuring that all asset movements are compliant with BP Policy & Authorities (Group Reporting Manual), local GAAP and IFRS.

• Ensuring compliance with „Component Accounting".

• Allocation of purchase requisition, handling of purchase requisition for capital expenditures local GAAP and IFRS, account assignment and clearance PM-orders for capital expenditures).

• Adhering with the tasks outlined in the QMS Systems of GBS.

• Fixed Assets master data processing.

• Reconciliation of accounts, preparation of quarterly reports and ad hoc reports.

• Identification of values for fire insurance planned values for depreciation.

• Ensuring the right assignment of assets to the functional entities through monitoring activities and reconciliation of fixed assets ledger.

• Query handling for capital expenditures.

• To comply with any other job-related requirements. This may be defined by an attached task list or defined by one's relevant team lead or process lead.
