Description of assignment

Bouygues Energies & Services currently has an exciting opportunity for an M&E Technician to join our Facilities Management team based on our major hospital contract at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford.  This is a permanent full-time shift-based position working a combination of earlies and lates, 40 hours per week.

 

The role:

·   Work alone with minimum supervision or within a team to carry out maintenance/repair of electrical services plant and equipment across the sites. Carry out refurbishment and new works across the sites

·   Responsible for the safe operation, planned and reactive maintenance of electrical systems, associated plant/equipment installed throughout the site

·   To carry out electrical works as required i.e. new works, refurbishment and work associated with the life cycle maintenance programme

·   To carry out electrical repairs and cleaning of electrical components and equipment as necessary.

·   To terminate and joint cables

·   Ensure the proper completion of network testing certificates

·   Diagnose faults on equipment and replace faulty components

·   Test and inspect new installations

 

Profile

The person:

A trade apprenticeship and relevant current qualifications, such as City & Guilds / BTEC National Diploma / NVQ 3 or equivalent in a relevant Electrical discipline
Experience in building services is required
Willingness to attain cross skilling and to undertake training and qualify as an Authorised Person as required
IT Literate
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Demonstrate good planning, organising and prioritising skills
Ability to show examples of using initiative and judgement to resolve problems
Experience in a Healthcare environment is advantageous
ISOH or equivalent H&S training preferred
