Description of assignment

As a specialist contractor from 1954, VSL - a member of Bouygues Construction, leverages the most advanced construction methods and technologies to engineer, builds and preserves complex structures. VSL creates innovative and customized solutions, from initial engineering to project execution, to take up its clients’ challenges.  VSL International, has been also the pioneer in post-tensioning technique by using its own proprietary strand post-tensioning system.

As a leader in the field of specialist construction engineering and associated technologies and services. VSL operates through 50 locations as a world-wide network, including production facilities. We are delivering different services from the technical consultancy to on-site activities.

VSL has several fields of expertise such as: VSL Technology, Civil Works, Foundations and Ground Engineering and Repairs. These fields are   combined together to address four markets: Transport infrastructures, buildings, Energy production and Industrial Facilities as well as the Maintenance, Repairs and Strengthening.

 

VSL International is looking for a General Accountant, under the supervision and assistance of the Chief Accountant based in Challenger.  

 

As a General Accountant, your missions will be mainly on:

1.  VSL International (Swiss company)

1.1 Daily accounting of operations

o Treasury, hedging, suppliers invoices and payments, expense claims, clients invoices...

 

1.2 Intercompany invoicing

o   Group insurance, interests on loans, IT reinvoicing, VSL Academy…

 

1.3 Monthly closing

o   Control and justification of Balance Sheet accounts, intercompany balances…

 

Possible job evolution

· Quarterly consolidation package in Magnitude

·  Statutory and tax audits (Direct relation with auditors and tax authorities)

 

2. VSL Group (around 40 subsidiaries worldwide)

 

2.1 Support of local accountants

2.2 Follow-up of bonds updates

2.3 Follow-up of loan agreements updates

2.4 Monthly cash reporting (to be confirmed)

 

Possible job evolution

· Missions abroad to assist local team

Profile

- Required Skills :

BYCN accounting rules and policies ;

Strong knowledge of Edifice ;

French and English speaking, Spanish or German would be appreciated ;

Open minded, capacity for innovation and source of proposals ;

Pedagogue with ability to assist local accountants.

 

- Mobility :

Occasional travels to Switzerland (short missions)

Occasional travels in VSL subsidiaries (possible job evolution)
