We are looking for highly skilled and experienced people to build the technology platform for Bombardier Transportation's future, for our site in Crespin, and, are currently looking to recruit an Engineering Configuration & Change Coordinator to join our Vehicle Engineering team.

Role

Engineering Configuration & Change primary responsibility is to enforce the engineering part of the activities defined in the Project Configuration Plan. Key tasks are:

1. Ensuring Engineering progress on change analysis, change implementation and baseline completion.

This includes the organization of the needed meetings and boards within engineering and the alignment with the product engine team.

2. Providing instructions, data structures and templates for engineering work products needed to address CM needs

3. Assessing the information fed from engineering on changes and baselines with regards to the expected level of quality and accuracy.

4. Providing status and current configuration data to stakeholders

Key Responsibilities and Challenges:

• Ensure changes impacting or raised by Engineering are properly documented prior to the Change Preparation Board by the different engineering stakeholders. This includes supporting and implementing engineering baseline road-mapping, coordinating change requests on functional aspects and traceable items.

• Ensure the implementation of approved changes by engineering according to the Baseline phases (project or product family). This includes the interface between the change tool and PDM. Manage the Limited Fleet Test Process for test and serial trains and update the ETRs accordingly.

• Provide and consolidate the As-Specified, As-Designed baselines according to project master schedule including all documentation linked to the vehicle development. Prepare the CM Baseline Release Notes to highlight the accomplishments and the possible gaps between expected changes and implemented ones.

• Provide the As-Specified, As-Designed ETRs for the train missions planned in the Project Master Schedule and lead the ETR Committees.

• Ensure Product PDM structure and other repositories required for vehicle & system Configuration items are setup according to applicable standards.

Qualifications

• BSc/ MSc degree in Engineering and CMII or similar certifications are advantageous.

• Good understanding of engineering development and relevant product design change and release activities.

• Basic understanding of railway product life-cycle and roles of the different stakeholders involved.

• Relevant experience working with Configuration & Change Management tools.

• Ability to work easily with requirements, analysis and documentations and very good problem solving skills.

• A clear track record of working across function, with different customers and suppliers.

• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.

• Flexible and self-driven personality.
