CIB Analytics Consulting (AC) consists of 60 people based in Paris, London and Lisbon. Reporting to the CIB Chief Data Officer, Analytics Consulting is an in-house center of expertise on Data, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence. It is at the forefront of the data transformation of BNP Paribas CIB and the team is constantly evolving. It helps internal entities (primarily CIB) better understand and use internal & external data. It offers dashboarding, advanced analytics capabilities and AI applications to its internal clients in response to their business needs.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Data Architect is responsible for designing data schemas, modelling data structures, managing releases, performing data migrations, monitoring databases’ performance, trouble-shooting problems and, in general, she/he is responsible for supporting AC Data Scientists, Data Analysts and Full-Stack Developers in all data and data infrastructure related activities.

The Data Architect is also the gatekeeper of good practices and sound methodologies of the teams from development to production environments.

Key responsibilities:

· Support other team’s members in optimizing and deploying their dashboards, workflows and code on a stable environment
· Provide suggestions to improve the current process in a proactive fashion
· Follow and enforce internal development procedures and handle the most common process requests
· Partner with ETL developers and other technical data warehouse team members to design high performing ETL workflows and maintain consistent development functions
· Participate in project code reviews before release
· Release management and coordinate with all stakeholders throughout the release cycle
· Automate of the end to end release, using CI/CD or one click deployment to deploy different types of artefacts to different environments
· Manage non production environment servers
· Coordinate any non-prod server related issues or upgrades with IT. Including the interface with any relevant stakeholder on any issues to get it resolved
· Contribute to the integrity of the infrastructure setup (define priorities, efficiently create, track the progress of several issues)
· Coordinate with IT teams to upgrade the technical components used by the platform (Databases, File storage, scheduling tools)
· Enhance the current platform functionalities, leveraging on cutting edge tools

PROFILE

· Bachelor or Master Degree with a technical major, such as engineering, computer science or related fields
· Data architecture and modelling
· Data warehousing design, Star Schema and Snowflakes Schema methodologies
· Excellent on the SQL server performance tuning aspects Database design principles
· Experience in Extract, Transformation and Load (ETL) processes design and performance tuning
· Familiarity with data-intensive applications: distributed computing experience using tools such as Hadoop, Spark, ...
· Strong analytical mind-set and the ability to interpret numbers and synthesize
· Ability to communicate complex logical constructs in simple and intuitive ways
· In depth knowledge on Alteryx designer, server and, gallery
· In depth knowledge on Tableau designer and server
· Hands on Alteryx and Tableau performance tuning experience
· Knowledge on other ETL, reporting tools is a bonus;
· Knowledge of programming languages is a plus.
