Tank Farm Operator
Where the Chemistry Happens…

The Seasonal Tank Farm Operator is accountable to the Tank Farm Supervisor and is responsible to assist in bulk raw material receipt, integrity, unloading, storage, and supply of those materials to the Regina Production Facility. The Seasonal Tank Farm Operator is expected to perform the bulk raw material functions in a safe and timely manner in accordance with internal and external Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Environmental Health and Safety regulations. This position must promote a safety-first culture, maintain excellent housekeeping practices and ensure proper classification and segregation of hazardous waste materials.

Formula for Success: You Will…

Coordinate the placement, unloading, storage and removal of +/- 1500 bulk tank trucks, ISO-tainers, and railcars annually in a safe and efficient manner and within Quality Assurance standards. Monitor and inspect equipment, pumps, valves, switches, gauges, alarms, safety devices, and meters to detect leaks or malfunctions and to ensure that equipment is operating efficiently and safely. Maintain daily logs of operation activities and safety checklists, including gauge and Sci-Tech readings and details of equipment malfunctions and report to Supervisor. On-site heating of products using heated Glycol and low-pressure steam. A safety-first approach/mindset is paramount. Participate and ensure compliance with all Corporate EHS policies, procedures, regulatory and industry standards, and internal audit examinations including proper segregation and handling of hazardous waste materials. Support LEAN Manufacturing and ensure excellent housekeeping practices are maintained and continually improving. Collecting, maintaining and processing correct bulk material documentation. (SAP, SharePoint)

High School Diploma Previous experience in Tank Farm Operations, Warehousing, Material Handling, and Distribution would be an asset Working knowledge of applicable Federal, Provincial, Municipal and Industrial regulations, and Environmental Health and Safety standards. (TDG, WHMIS, OHC, ESHA) Ability to work alone and in a dynamic team environment Effective organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with a focused approach to health and safety, customer service, and time management Demonstrated Working knowledge of corporate policies, Environmental Health and Safety, as well as area specific Standard Operating Procedures and adopted practices, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System and Data Safety Sheets
