  Material Master Data Coordinator (1904366) – Beachwood, OH

  Where the Chemistry Happens  

  As a Material Master Data Coordinator, you will provide Master Data process technology and expertise in the creation and maintenance of SAP articles.

This includes (but not limited to) create and maintain material master, bills of material, manufacturing recipes, quality management and other data elements related to the material master.    

Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as EHS, R&D, Purchasing, Marketing, and Global Governance to troubleshoot SAP issues, improve processes and to successfully process material requests. 

·  Creation / maintenance of material master data in accordance with established procedures to ensure conformity, data integrity and compliance.
·  Fostering a customer focused, service-related relationship with internal customers to support the effective and timely creation of article numbers
·  Participate on project teams to support with master data activities based upon the project objective.
·  Troubleshoots issues which relate to material master data.
·  Follow all appropriate Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies.
·  Understands that Safety and Environmental responsibility is a major part of BASF’s Principles.  Must report all unsafe conditions and accidents immediately to appropriate manager.  Responsible for the safety of themselves and others.
·  Must understand and follow all quality initiatives and processes for ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and other ISO regulations, procedures and processes as they pertain to job responsibilities.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success 

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Operation Management, IT or other business-related field or an associate degree with 3 years of work experience in IT, Supply Chain or other business areas performing database management, data analysis with a focus on data accuracy and data integrity.
·  Good communication and team facilitation skills are required.
·  Manufacturing experience is helpful.
·  A working knowledge of SAP is preferred.
·  Experience in supporting end-users with system and process issues.
·  Knowledge of database structures and maintenance.
·  Ability to collect, analyze and interpret data.
·  Experience with Microsoft Office Excel and Access.
