Software Tester

Northampton

As part of the Channels Engineering team we are looking for testers who use automation to improve the quality of our code, identify root causes to defects and are passionate about user experience. You will be responsible for delivery from the initial idea through to implementation of the features used by both Barclays customers and our colleagues. The omni-channel applications are provided across web, mobile, telephony and contact center platforms. The applications you will deliver make use of the latest UI and API technologies, deployed onto cloud platforms.

What will you be doing?

· Create/maintain automated dashboard to support quality view of the application under test
· Execute automated/manual tests as required
· Assist Test Manager in managing day-to-day testing activities, such as test monitoring and status reporting at the end of the testing day
· Plan for automation suits and execution to against the run plans
· High coding standards to support future proving of the framework & test scripts
· Ensure reusability and capture of Metrics
· Ensure constructive working relationships within team
· Execute tests, track and monitor defects to closure

What we're looking for:

· Strong experience with Selenium and other automated testing frameworks.
· Experience with testing customer facing internet web sites
· Experience in at least one programming language preferably Java
· Support the Dev-ops pipeline to support speed to market with a key focus on quality

Skills that will help you in the role:

· Strong experience and knowledge of all testing processes including defect management
· Automated testing /development background
· Exposure to configuration and change
· Awareness banking applications
