Job Title: Platform Engineer
Location: Radbroke, Knutsford

Barclays UK is supported by The Group Service Company, which delivers critical infrastructure services and enhances operational continuity for our business units. It's a center of excellence for services required by the business, such as fraud management, cyber security, reducing duplication and promoting best practice across our business.
As the Platform Engineer, you will be the subject matter expert within an innovative new banking function focusing on Salesforce and other offerings. You will be the principal developer and heavily involved in forming the key component of the BUK Ventures strategy.

What will you be doing?

• Create new features based upon Salesforce in line with business requirements
• Create documentation of new features in line with BUK Ventures standards
• Lead and manage a small team and help shape the DevOps function within BUK Ventures
• Contribute to the Salesforce strategy to leverage new features
• Advising, guiding on architectural design and the implementation process
• Deliver complex green field solutions in an agile environment
• Liaise with programme and department level stakeholders

What we're looking for:

• Ability to perform RESTful API Integration
• Excellent exposure of JavaScript frameworks, and event based UI development
• Object Orientated programming, using Java & C#
• Thorough architectural knowledge, specifically in service orientated architecture (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Demonstrable knowledge of Salesforce (Visualforce, Apex or Lightening)
• Have practical Agile knowledge, including SCRUM, XP, DSDM RUP etc
• Understand the key drivers in successful IT delivery and support

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our technology hub in the North West, located at Radbroke Hall in Knutsford. It's convenient for most individuals who live within a 35-mile radius, spanning from Liverpool, Chester, Manchester and Stoke. It's a lively atmosphere with large open plan offices, with everything you need on site including various catering options, Starbucks, Gym, onsite parking etc.
