Operations Department:
The Operations department provides front to back Operational support for clients trading with Barclays Securities Japan Limited, including T0 confirmation processing, settlement follow-up, account opening, lifecycle management and queries. The team supports all range of products dealt by Japan Sales Team, including Yen and Non Yen Cash Bond, Structured Notes, Cash Equity and OTC Options.
Overall purpose of role :
o Client facing role to support trades executed by Fixed Income Sales
o Drafting of Structured Notes Final Terms executed by Structured Product Sales
o Roles include but not limited to Pre-confirmation, Trade Monitoring, Account Maintenance and Drafting of documents
Key Accountabilities and Skills required:
o Accurate creation and delivery of pre-confirmation to our clients
o Open account quickly with control
o Ability to read and understand complex derivatives Term Sheet
o Detail minded on drafting Legally binding document
o Escalate whenever exceptions are found
o Handle queries from clients, sales, and other departments with focus on “service” quality
o Interact with IT closely to solve any IT issues
o Candidate is required to interact heavily with clients, trust banks, clearing agents, sales, settlement teams, IT, and other departments
o Interaction will be done in both Japanese and English. Native Japanese level is required as communications with client will mainly be in Japanese.
o Business level English is required and essential for reading and drafting documents.
Risk and Control Objective: All Barclays colleagues have to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.
Your Skills and Qualifications will include
o Basic Qualifications
o Literate in Excel (Vlookup, Basic Formulas), Microsoft Word and other Microsoft suites
o Native in Japanese, Business level or higher in English
o Team player
o High motivation
o Preferred Qualifications
o Client facing experience
o Derivatives or Structured Notes Product knowledge
o 1 year + experience in financial industry
