Mechanical Analyst

Would you like to provide business intelligence support across our Land UK portfolio? We currently have a vacancy for a Mechanical Analyst at our site in either Bristol or Telford.

As a Mechanical Analyst, your role will be focused on the Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS) analytics capability for military armoured vehicles. You will be involved in the delivery of business intelligence services to current in-service programmes and shaping the business intelligence elements of future business winning projects.

Your main responsibilities as a Mechanical Analyst:

Work with Campaign teams to embed BAE Systems LandLINKTM Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS) Analytics capabilities and benefits into propositions as part of bid phases.

Support BAE Systems LandLINKTM requirements refinement, configuration and implementation for specific Campaigns, Platforms and Services.

Work with Platform teams in the delivery of value-added HUMS Analytics services as part of contract delivery and business-as-usual.

Support knowledge transfer to Contract delivery teams.

Deliver benefits into Platform teams via Decision Support Capabilities/Services, including:

· Scheduled Maintenance Analysis.

· Failure Mode Analysis & Prevention.

· Profiling of Fleet/Vehicle/Unit.

· Arising Rate Management (ARM).

· Modification Performance Tracking.

Work closely with Land UK's key technology supplier (an internal division of BAE Systems) to develop deep expertise in the LandLINK technology stack and its current and potential application.

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential

Degree in Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent qualification or experience

Experience of data analysis or HUMS analytics activities

Desirable

A background in state-of-the-art practices and technologies for information management and exploitation, specifically platform HUMS

Knowledge of the approaches for embedding and/or exploiting HUMS Analytics capabilities to generate decision support
