The headquarters of the AXA Group, based in Paris 8th, bring together the Group's corporate activities. It coordinates the various entities with the Group's strategy, and is responsible for managing international projects.


Direction Presentation:


AXA Group Risk Management (GRM) brings together high level and multidisciplinary staff with engineers, actuaries, data scientists and financials split between Paris, Zurich, Madrid and the US.

Its mains missions are focused on the following key areas:

· Analyze, model and aggregate the Group's risks (economic capital and emergence of economic value),
· Define the process enabling to limit the undertaken risks (assets accumulation, longevity, natural catastrophe...)
· Optimize the Group's protection (reinsurance, securitization, etc.).
Primary mission:

As part of Solvency II regulation, AXA has developed its own internal model for the calculation of the economic capital. GRM Life team is responsible for the developments linked to the Life risks (Mortality, Longevity, etc.) and works continuously on the model's improvement and on the quantification of these risks.

The Retirement & Pension Funds team's missions consist in piloting and managing the risks linked to the Retirement & Pension Funds businesses which come with Longevity risk, which is one of the main Life risks the AXA Group is exposed to.

The team directly reports to the Group's Life, Savings and Health Chief Risk Officer.

Within the team, a Longevity risk expert and a Longevity risk analyst pilot and manage the Longevity risk.

As Risk Managers, they are both active controllers of local teams' activities and business partners. They are in charge of providing methods, models, metrics and tools to help AXA measure the risks it is exposed to, choose which risks to keep or cede, and orientate its strategy.

Core activities:

· Provide a second opinion on entities' products exposed to Longevity risk across the Group,
· Provide a second opinion on Longevity risk transfer initiatives ( e.g. longevity swaps),
· Contribute to In-Depth-Reviews (IDR) for businesses with a predominant Longevity risk (Retirement & Pension Funds) with a focus on pricing and best estimate assumptions and their link with Underwriting and Claims management and the writing of a report for the Group's Top Management including alerts and recommendations,
· Be responsible for the internal model methodology for the Longevity risk and ensure its deployment within the entities, improve the Group's Longevity modeling. He/she is in charge of the interactions with regulators and auditors regarding this risk,
· Contribute to the production of longevity scenarios to assess entities' and the AXA Group's exposure to Longevity risk,
· Contribute to spreading the risk culture for Life insurance business by supporting entities on technical topics related to the Longevity risk (training on the internal model tool, best estimate setting, etc),
· Keep track of academic progress on the modeling of Longevity.

Qualifications :

Technical and professional skills:
·  Knowledge of Retirement & Pension Funds business
·  Strong statistical, actuarial and modeling skills
·  Knowledge of SII and IFRS17 frameworks
·  Ability to work with other technical experts and academics
·  Data science skills (e.g. R, Python, …)
·  Fluent written and spoken English
Soft skills and competencies:

·  Be able to work with a team in a multicultural environment
·  Be able to lead working groups and projects, work in project mode
·  Be able to communicate with various stakeholders (Management Committee, Life Chief Risk Officers, actuarial experts, mathematical experts, regulators, internal/external auditors), and write reports destined to AXA Group and AXA entities' Top Management
·  Demonstrate accuracy, quality and timeliness of deliverables
·  Be organized, autonomous, have a sense of responsibilities
·  Be able to look at topics with a critical eye
·  Be innovative and flexible, show ability to listen and pragmatism
Management Skills:


The position could entail the management of a CDD or an intern.

Experience:

·  Major in statistics, actuarial or data sciences, finance, “Ecole” (ENSAE, ISFA, ISUP, EURIA…), Master (BAC+5) or PhD
·  Around 5 years in an insurance company or a consulting firm with experience in Retirement & Pension Funds, Life & Savings, Finance, Modeling
