The Global RFP Team
RFP stands for “Request For Proposal”, which is the documentation that asset managers prepare in answering to competitive tenders in order to win new asset management mandates.
The RFP team covers the whole, competitive tendering process issued by prospective institutional investors; from the answering of the questionnaire to preparing the pitch presentations for the final ‘beauty contest'. Generating and delivering high quality, winning RFPs within tight deadlines is our mission. Our proposals cover all of AXA IM's range of products, including fixed income, equity, alternative and multi-asset investments worldwide.

We are looking for an Italian or bilingual intern with good academic and possibly practical financial exposure working with our Italian team in Paris to support in priority our Milan-based Sales Managers.

Being part of the RFP team involves a close working relationship with portfolio management and sales teams, as well as with other company's stakeholders (risk, operations, etc.) in a real project management mode.

Key Accountabilities
• Act as a key contributor in the capital raising process, mainly for large institutional investors.
• Overall responsibility for the production (from the first draft to the final proposal to the client) and coordination of RFPs/Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQ), etc.
• Creation of accurate, compelling and client-focused RFPs to present our company and our investment solutions
• Development of strong, effective, two-way working relationships with key stakeholders, including Institutional Sales teams and Portfolio Managers.
• Interfacing with many business partners who will help in providing data and answering questions more thoroughly (e.g., Product Specialists teams, Responsible Investments team, Trading and other departments)
• Gaining quickly a broad knowledge of the traditional (Equity, Fixed Income and Multi Assets) and alternative investments (Real Assets, Structured Finance, Private Debt and Absolute return) of the firm.
• Rigorous adherence to approved review, compliance and record-keeping procedures

Education / Qualifications
• Degree in Finance

Experience & languages
• Prior experience working in the financial markets industry (RFP, sales, financial analyst, marketing, fund management, communications, etc.)
• Excellent level of Italian plus English (another language can be a plus)

Knowledge and Skills
• Excellent writing skills: enjoys writing and at ease with financial technicals
• Strong analytical skills and products knowledge
 ability to understand and describe investment processes and financial solutions in detail
 client-focused
 ability to challenge experts (Sales, Product Specialists, etc.) • Works well under pressure, respect of tight deadlines
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools
