AXA Lab is AXA Next’s hub in the US which maintains a large insurtech network and community. Our purpose is to identify new opportunities & technologies and build knowledge. Our mission is to support partner, build, invest & buy decisions that enable new products & business models for AXA, our partners and our customers.

In the context of its development, AXA Lab is looking to hire an energetic and self-starter Junior Analyst, who would become its 3rd team member, reporting to the head of AXA Lab.

Core Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist in maintaining and enriching the CRM system of AXA Lab (50%)

Collect information on stakeholders (e.g. startups, corporate, VCs) of the network of AXA Lab. Actively manage the CRM database to ensure information is accurate and kept up to date. Develop profiles on selected technology companies and start-ups. In coordination with the rest of the team, engaging with startups and tech companies to understand and further qualify their value proposals.

Events (25%)

Attend tech-related and Fintech/InsurTech events in the Bay Area (often outside of 9-5 hours) and Assist with writing, editing, and publishing tech-related reports for AXA’s internal audience. Report on latest trends spotted either directly in San Francisco and/or Silicon Valley or during industry conferences. Compose short updates, memos, or publications on topics of interest for AXA (e.g.: Internet of Things & Connected Devices, Telematics, Mobile, Connected Health, Driverless Cars, Social Media, etc.).

Business development (15%)

Assist the team on new (strategic) business opportunities with innovative players mostly located in the Bay Area. Business opportunities range from new distribution opportunities, new product development, new customer proposition development, through to the coordination of potential investments as part of a business case.

Others (10%)

Contribute to any other AXA Lab activities that may be required (including but not limited to contributing to AXA Lab marketing and communications).

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Desired Skills and Experience:

·  Undergraduate Degree or above in in Business, Finance, or similar
·  Good knowledge of the financial services industries acquired through former experience at a top tier consulting firm, investment bank, or similar (minimum 1 years working experience; could be obtained through internships)
·  Ability to synthetize and make information appealing in the shape of company profiles, conference reports, and notes for higher management
·  Basic ability in analyzing business models and value proposals in combination with proficiency in excel
·  Proficiency in presentation tools and skills (PowerPoint and Keynote)
·  Combination of highly analytical mindset with a truly commercial and flexible approach
·  True passion for all things digital, ideally reflected in personal blogs or twitter accounts
·  Ability to understand Tech served by an endless curiosity
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·  Great sense of initiative and autonomy
·  High attention to detail
·  Fluent in English
·  Versatility, team-spirit and good sense of humor!
