Do you want to be a part and develop future powertrains for vehicles? We want to employ the smartest engineers that want to work with development, construction and testing within the automotive industry. AVL MTC are about 250 employees at our Techcentres in Sodertalje or Haninge, the Gothenburg office, the Trollhättan office or as Resident Engineer at customers in Sweden or elsewhere in the world.

Your Responsibilities:
·  Analysis &Simulation engineer in driveline/ transmission projects for different types of transmissions (AMT, AT, DCT, CVT, MT, etc.), both light and heavy duty vehicles
·  Develop new and improve existing A&S methods. This can mean methods to calculate transmission loads, optimization of housings, gears and shafts, simulation of wet and dry clutches, noise & vibration, etc.
·  Problem solving on existing products with detailed root cause analysis.
·  Stay up-to-date with most recent technology findings within the field of transmission and drivetrain technology

Desired profile

Your Profile:
·  Excellent analytical capability
·  Good knowledge of machine elements, including clutches and hydraulic systems
·  Experience from product development of transmissions for light- or heavy-duty is an advantage
·  Knowledge in hybrid systems and/or electric machines is an advantage
·  Knowledge in commercially available simulation tools (FEM-tools, Matlab/SIMULINK, etc.) is an advantage
·  Good social and communication skills in Swedish and English
·  Well organized and enthusiastic team member that can lead the work forward
·  Eager to learn and guide your co-workers within your specialty
·  Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
