The Pricing department within Aviva General Insurance works to deliver market prices for all Personal and Commercial Lines insurance products. Reporting directly to the Ireland GI CEO, the team develops and maintains market leading pricing structures using cutting edge actuarial and statistical techniques. A Pricing Analyst is currently being recruited in the Personal Lines team working with the Pricing Lead and reporting into the Personal Lines Pricing Manager.

As a member of the Personal Lines team you will work with colleagues from across the business to provide pricing solutions for new initiatives and to current business problems. You will contribute to the development of best in class technical pricing models, as well as the development, implementation and maintenance of rating structures and rates.

What are some of the day-to-day responsibilities of the role?

· 
Working as part of a team with the Pricing Lead, the Personal Lines Pricing Manager and relevant Portfolio Managers, developing new products and solutions

· 
Monitoring the performance of pricing decisions and using insight to enhance modelling assumptions and processes

· 
Prepare suitable pricing analyses to support recommendations to the Ireland Pricing Forum to deliver planned profitability and drive rating change in the market.

Develop technical pricing models using the cutting-edge techniques

Skills & experience we would like to see:

· 
An Actuarial/Statistical/Mathematical degree with good progress made in Actuarial exams – ideally partly qualified

· 
Strong technical numerical, actuarial or statistical skills with the ability to analyse, interpret and use numerical and statistical pricing analysis

· 
Experience of SQL, Emblem, Radar, Optimiser, MS Excel, Word and general programming an advantage

· 
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to develop solutions to unfamiliar problems both independently and as part of a wider team

· 
Strong communication skills and in particular an ability to communicate complex issues clearly

· 
Achievement orientated with a desire to drive change
