The Role

This role will be responsible for all non trading related investment operational tasks necessary to ensure that the investment book of record (IBOR) of AIA is accurate at all times

Responsibilities

•            Manage the following investment operational tasks within Aladdin and in conjunction with global Aviva Investor colleagues: Local Pricing & Valuation queries, static data maintenance (securities, counterparts, portfolios, clients etc) – in liaison with global SMF team in, manage the corporate actions life-cycle, cash management – reconcile settled cash to Custodians and publish for trading, positions reconciliations – reconcile traded positions to JPM.

•            Oversee and support as required collateral management activity

•            Ensure adherence with regulations and  global policies for each of the above functional activities

•            Provide first line support for all investment operations related queries received internally (AIA front office) and / or externally (clients) for trade related queries

•            Liaise with JPM for the resolution of investment operations exceptions; ensure appropriate corrective action is taken for investment operations exceptions

•            Evolve and align AIA operational processes with global colleagues to common processes and procedures can be maintained

•            Oversee investment operational activity conducted by JPM

•            Utilise and maintain knowledge of industry standards and best practices for investment operations

•            In conjunction with investment operations manager Initiate change as required

•            Liaise with other AIA global businesses for the facilitation of trading in Cross Border funds

Requirements

•            Relevant experience in a similar Investment Operations role

•            Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of end2end investment operations life-cycle

•            Experience in customer service

•            Experience negotiating problem resolutions

•            Exposure to working in global matrix management organisation (preferred)

•            Experience of using Aladdin (preferred)

•            OTC Knowledge (preferred)

•            Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject (preferred)
