Job description

Traineeship Description:

This position reports to the Head, Portfolio, Change & Demand Management and interfaces with internal stakeholders from the various functions in the company and within IT function.  Aviva Ltd committed to an employee-orientated, high performance culture that emphasises empowerment, quality, continuous improvement, and the recruitment and on-going development of a superior workplace

Specific Responsibilities:

Trainee to be involved in:
1.    Work with Engagement Manager to review IT requests from users and assess the efforts and costings.
2.    Assist the Engagement Manager to facilitate the prioritization of business as usual (BAU) requests with users 
3.    Utilise spreadsheets and tools to track budgets, dates and other request information
4.    Co-ordinate meetings and track progress in the Book of Works
 

Technical Skills and Competencies Trainee will learn during SGUnited Traineeship Programme:

1.    Understand the different IT requests from users and how to assess them
2.    Observe and participate in prioritization forums with users
3.    Learn how to facilitate meetings and manage team dynamics and conflict management
4.    How to engage internal stakeholders and external vendors professionally
 

Highest Qualification:

Polytechnic Diploma

Duration of Traineeship/s:

9 months

Eligibility Criteria for SGUnitedTraineeships:

Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and

a. Graduated or graduating in calendar year 2019 or 2020 from ITEs, polytechnics, universities, or other educational institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or

b. Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2019 or 2020

c.  Mid-career individuals from any qualification level can apply.
