About the role:

The Data Engineering team helps our clients drive the right decisions for their business through data and analytical insights. It ensures that clients can access, interpret and analyze data to come up with intelligent courses of action in all areas of their business.
We are looking for a highly effective hands on Data and Analytics Architect to join our team. This person will play a critical role in sales and assessment (primarily) and delivery of digital solutions (secondary). Day to day, you will work with customer IT and Marketing departments on major, ongoing Digital engagements with internal and external stakeholder visibility

Qualifications

About you:
You are a data geek who knows how to get to “so what?” You understand how to turn piles of data into actionable insights that our clients can use to out-maneuver their competition. You can explain complex analytical concepts in nontechnical language that business people can understand. You have proven experience on delivering business intelligence solutions and leveraging the big data platforms in particular and can demonstrate business outcomes on this project experience.
You have proven experience of the following : Data and Analytics architectures and standards, including data warehouses, master data management, ETL, OLAP, modeling techniques, meta data management, data quality management, Hadoop, advanced analytics, reporting and self-service BI
A deep knowledge of the Microsoft platform is essential.

You will be able to demonstrate:

·  Ability to consult with clients on complex projects, including in leadership roles
·  Experience with business development pursuits, leading client pitches, RFPs, proposals, and statements of work.
·  Engagement with cross-functional Avanade teams to translate client digital business strategies into digital solutions that meet client objectives
·  Talent for connecting with offshore teams to facilitate project work
