Job Location : Pune

The test analyst is a professional specialized in doing software testing of applications. He/ She have the capability to do functional / nonfunctional testing of software based on the requirements presented.

The test analyst works under the coordination of the test lead to help in completion of testing of software. The test analyst is fully responsible for completing his allocated tasks which primarily consist of creation of test case documentation, its execution and reporting of defects. The individual is also expected to handle small modules where he can assign tasks to team members and help in overall project completion. The test analyst can also help the test lead in estimating for work allocated to the test team.

Responsibilities:

· Functional knowledge of SAP Modules FI-CO, MM,SD,CRM
· Have understanding of End to End SAP Business scenarios for modules FI-CO, MM,SD,CRM
· Understanding of Testing Basics (End to End Test Life Cycle)
· Have experience in writing Test Cases for SAP modules FI-CO,MM,SD,CRM
· Reviewing of the test deliverables created by peers.
· Preparing SAP modules (FI-CO, MM, SD, CRM) Test Cases for integration and system testing.
· Preparing Test Data(FI-CO,MM,SD,CRM) for the test cases.
· Executing Test cases (manual and automation) for SAP Modules
· Checking and assessing test results.
· Recording and Management of Defects in Test Management tools (HP ALM & Solution Manager)
· Maintaining Test Cases in Test Management Tools (HP ALM, Solution Manager)
· Communication with the Test Lead / Test Manager.
· Ensure all functional risks are documented along with the mitigations.
· Participating in Project meetings.
· Assessment of test process.
· Effort estimation for testing object assigned.
· Provide advice and guidance to less experienced colleagues and undertake elements of supervision.
· Should be proactive for troubleshooting any Master data & configuration related issues during SAP Test execution.

Interfaces:

The test analyst sits within the test team, led by a test Lead/Manager and must be aligned with:

· Test Lead
· Test Manager
· Development team counterparts
· Quality Manager who conducts audits for his team

Communication skills:

· Good Interpersonal and Communication Skills.
· Ability to communicate effectively and keep Team Lead/Test Manager appraised of progress to plan.

Technical skills:

The test analyst is expected to have:

· Sound Functional knowledge of SAP Modules
· Experience in Test Management Tool
· Experienced in at least one SAP automation tool
· Ability to understand the functional requirements.
· Grasp functionality quickly
· Good understanding of the software test life cycle and associated processes.
· Ability to create test cases / test scenarios from the functional requirements.
· Ability to execute test cases.
· Systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving.
· Plan and control own work.
· ISTQB Testing Foundation Certificate.
· Knowledge of the V Model software development process.
· Knowledge of agile development SAP environment is desirable but not essential.

Working Experience:

· Minimum of 3/4 year commercial testing experience.

Soft skills:

· Good organisational and planning skills.
· Good documentation writing skills – Test Cases, Test Plan for example.
· Self-sufficient.
· Good analytical skills
