Amazon is continuously innovating new services and features for customers. Amazon Application Security focuses on enabling our builders to provide a secure and trustworthy experience to our customers without compromising the overall customer experience.

Secure Architecture Design and Engineering (SADE) provides resources and tools to empower engineers to make secure software design choices. We perform deep dive research into leading edge technical topics and use cases in order to provide the appropriate resources for secure adoption. Our work is used as input to develop detective and corrective controls, training, and foundational software development technologies.
As a Security Engineer on our team, you will solve interesting security challenges that arise when Amazon invents new technologies. You will build tools that enable developers to understand their vulnerabilities and how to effectively mitigate them. You will identify and apply opportunities to build new security services, improve existing ones and update our standards and documentation to have the widest possible impact for our customers.
Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Identify security issues and risks, and build mitigation plans.

· Develop and interpret security standards and guidance.
·
· Improve support for developers improving security through automation and other process improvements.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BS in Computer Science or relevant experience.
·
· Broad knowledge across application security domains.
·
· Experience with the application of threat modeling or other risk identification techniques.
·
· Scripting skills (e.g., python, ruby, perl)
