Are you ready for a challenging international internship in our Finance department?    

Working environment

You will be working within the Finance department of Atos. This department is split in the following main activities: Controlling, Treasury, Finance Operations and Reporting. This graduation thesis is located within Finance Operations.

Finance Operations is responsible for the proper processing of all the activities in the finance processes within the company. This entails, among other things; activities in the purchase to pay process like invoice handling and payments, activities in the order to cash process like sales order creation and sales invoicing, general accounting and Statutory and Group reporting, month end close activities and salary accounting, fixed asset accounting and physical inventory. A high percentage of the transactional work within this department is offshored. There are currently 22 FTE active in the inshore Finance operations.

The internship

In this internship you will be working in the accounts payable team. At Atos, we have a standardized Purchase to Pay processes regarding invoice handling and payment, in which most of the invoices flow through automatically. Some invoices have discrepancies or don’t comply to the process which makes a manual action necessary to ensure a fluent handling in the next steps. This can occur for example in case of price differences, quantity differences or debt cases.

In this role you will be responsible for handling these cases together with the purchasing department and colleagues within the Finance Operations and account payable team.

Are you the ideal candidate?

This internship is fit for a Bachelor or Master student with an Economy/Finance education. You are precise, discrete, a self starter, and you are not scared to ask questions. Next to this it is very important you have a drive to discover and learn about the business. Because you will be working in an international environment, you have to have a full proficiency in English. Dutch is preferred, since you are working at the Amstelveen location in The Netherlands.

What Atos offers you

This thesis includes a period of approximately 3 months. If your education requires a longer period this is possible in discussion with the Head of Finance. During the thesis you will be guided directly by the Head of Finance Operations of the BTN team (BeNeLux & The Nordics). Next to this you will be guided by one of the team members for day to day and operational questions. You have easy access to the worldwide knowledge of Atos, which you can access through our Enterprise Social Network (BlueKiwi). You are welcome on all of the department- and competence meetings at our Head office in Amstelveen. Next to this guidance and the chance to complete your thesis within a unique multinational, you will receive monthly intern fee
