ARM’s Internet of Things team in Oulu is looking for Staff engineer (‘specialist’) to new Gateway product Development team to join us as we build the services and software needed to connect billions of new devices to the internet.

Key Duties / responsibilities

·  Working as a member of an agile software/service development team
·  Responsible for individual development tasks assigned to the team
·  Designs, implements, documents and verifies new mbed Cloud products functionality using Java SW development tools
·  Plans and estimates new tasks together with the team
·  Investigates issues reported by customers and proposes solutions and/or corrections.

Job Requirements

·  Experience in architecting, implementing and productization backend service or products.
·  Hands on Internet protocol knowledge (IPv4/6, UDP/TCP, CoAP, MQTT etc.)
·  Great Linux platform knowledge.
·  Solid understanding and practical experience with REST and TLS security technologies.
·  Java SE and EE development experience.
·  You have experience with continuous integration workflows, version control (GIT).
·  You have strong experience/interest around testing/test automation ( Unit , functional , non-functional testing)
·  A great team and customer oriented attitude with outgoing design and communication skills.
·  Courage to challenge existing designs and come up with new solutions.
·  Agile development experience in a scrum team.
·  Good spoken and written English required.

Desirable Skills and Experience

·  Privacy and Security in cloud services.
·  Micro services
·  Experience with configuration and deployment tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible.
·  Non internet protocols (e.g. BLE, Lora, industrial automation ).
