About the role

Working in our ISP Engineering Team, designing electronic hardware for camera sensor bring up on a FPGA based camera system.

What will I be accountable for?

·  Design of electronic circuitry used to interface between image sensors and FPGA including schematic capture.
·  Design of high-speed printed circuit board layouts
·  The management of PCB procurement cycle, including the selection of suitable subcontract PCB manufacturer(s).
·  Debug of hardware and any necessary rework and providing support to software team during camera bring-up.

What skills, experience and qualifications do I need?

Education & Qualifications

·  Bachelors or equivalent degree in a relevant technical subject.
·  IPC Certified Interconnect Designer - CID or CID+ (desirable, not essential).

Essential Skills

·  Experienced user of the following ECAD tools:
·  Mentor Graphics PADS Layout/Router and HyperLynx.
·  Cadence OrCAD Capture.
·  Excellent understanding of high-speed PCB design and signal integrity techniques.
·  Thorough understanding of design for manufacture (DFM) techniques
·  Excellent soldering skills and ability to rework PCBs containing miniature components.
·  Excellent debug and component-level faultfinding skills.
·  Good report writing skills.
·  Excellent written and verbal English.
·  A flexible and agile attitude to work, with the ability to handle and prioritise multiple projects.

Experience

Proven experience of high-speed electronics and printed circuit board design and debug skills.
