Job description

You have a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a similar specialization in chemical processes.
You are willing to develop a career on a production site, dealing with various tasks, trying to find the best solution to improve the safety and the efficiency of manufacturing activities.
As you will work in an international company, you are fluent in English (mandatory in order to be fully integrated in our teams). A strong level of French would be an asset.
Finally, you have strong communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to work with people from various backgrounds. A high level of autonomy is required for the role.
Your future responsibilities:
With 5 manufacturing plants, Arkema Changshu site is now the biggest industrial platform of Arkema worldwide, employing around 600 people.
Your main responsibilities will be the following:
1) Project owner:
- Support for new installation, Control of CAPEX (progress, spending,…)
- Leverage good practices and skills of other regions
- Take care of process standards, identify critical parameters
- Optimization and standardization of production processes
- Benchmarking the recipes and set up of the production parameters with local process engineers
- Make proposals to improve the safety in existing and new processes
- Coordinate the initiatives to reduce waste and energy use
2) Help sustain and influence the implementation of CI Culture
- Develop and support implementation of CI tools & techniques
- Support the identification and sharing of operational excellence Best Practices (6 BOX Rules)
- Facilitate and provide status updates on Initiatives or events
- Respond to identified gaps to execute rapid change and improvement
- Gather initiatives and action plans to impact business initiatives
- Support plants to achieve KPIs (QI) through onsite improvements and employee development
- Maximise the throughput and asset efficiency
- Develop staff to support operational objectives
- Continuously measure and improve operational efficiency
- Key member of Plant Leadership Team
- Coaching, training, and development of team members in their roles and also in corporate policies including but not limited to HSE management systems, MOC system, and formalizes and document Management System procedures.
