Position Description

TN Americas is seeking an Project Manager for our CHT location in Kernersville, NC. This position is responsible for planning, executing, and managing projects to meet quality, budget, and schedule requirements. Manages all aspects of a project from kick-off to close-out, including written and verbal communication at all levels within the organization as well as externally to customers and supplier.

Additional job responsibilities will include the following:
· Commit to safety procedures
· Follow all CHT Project Management (PM) standard
· Manage projects from initiation to closure to exceed customers' expectations; set up projects in ERP
· Review CHT proposals and provide PM department input prior to quote submittal.
· Review customer contracts against CHT quotes for accuracy (value, terms, delivery). Identify any discrepancies and take the lead to get them corrected.
· Approve purchase orders to vendors
· Develop manufacturing strategy, including determining the need for outsourcing of items and services
· Prepare plans, project schedules, and budget, and define required resources; ensure cost and resource load schedule is generated for the projects
· Coordinate priorities with production and quality control supervision to direct resources based on current needs
· Perform pre-job brief and post-job lessons learned assessment for project team in conjunction with Project Engineering and Production Management
· Bear accountability for project results, working in conjunction with Engineering, Estimating, Project Controls, and Production, clearly communicating expectations and needs
· Identify and proactively resolve issues and solve problems throughout project life cycle
· Document and route for approval all project changes by initiating change notices and deviation requests
· Track and report project milestones and provide status reports in coordination with Project Controls
· Maintain submittal logs and status for all project documents
· Provide reports to Accounting for financial progress reporting of projects and assist in developing and maintaining project budgets; manage cash flow and ensure attainment of expected cash position.
· Ensure all project documents are released and maintained during the project and safely archived following project completion.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position:
·  BS Degree in Business, Engineering/Engineering Technology, or similar field, plus 5-10 years of project work experience including at least 2 years of experience managing projects; or experience in lieu of degree, plus a minimum of 10-12 years of related work experience.
·  Excellent knowledge of major PM plan development, implementation and administration including knowledge of project processes, procedures and tools. (PMI Certification a bonus).
·  Strong written and verbal communication skills.
·  Proficiency with PC-based applications such as MS Office.
·  Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management.
·  Ability to change priorities quickly, confront issues directly and work well as part of a team.

The fol lowing requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.

·  Broad and deep experience in Project Management processes and practices, preferably in manufacturing environment.
· 
Excellent report development and presentation skills.

·  Demonstrated ability to proactively identify potential roadblocks and work with Production and Engineering to eliminate them.
