TN Americas :

TN Americas LLC's core business is in the design, licensing, fabrication, installation and loading of systems for storage and transportation of spent nuclear fuel and other radioactive material. TN Americas LLC also subcontracts fabrication of the cask and canister components of the system to fabrication shops located in the US, India and Japan.

Job Description:

TN Americas is seeking an Engineer II, Nuclear Analyst for our Columbia, MD office in the Nuclear Analysis Group.

This qualified individual will be responsible for supporting projects including NUHOMS Dry Shield Canisters, NUHOMS onsite transfer casks, TN metal storage casks, transport packages, and spent fuel racks.

Additional job responsibilities will include the following:

· Performing criticality safety calculation in support of design, development and licensing
· Performing source term and shielding analyses calculations in support of design, development and licensing
· Benchmarking of the criticality and shielding analyses methodologies
· Preparing nuclear analyses calculations in the Safety Analysis and/or Technical Reports as part of TN Americas' licensing submittals to the NRC

Desired profile

Qualifications :

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position:
·  BS in Nuclear Engineering/Engineering Technology, plus a minimum of 0 -2 years of related engineering work experience. A Master's degree may be substituted for 1-2 years of related work experience.
·  Computer codes (SCALE, MCNP) for performing criticality and shielding calculations
·  A general understanding of the principles of nuclear engineering particularly in the areas of reactor physics and radiation transport
·  Excellent organization, planning and priority setting skills

The fol lowing requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.

·  Master's Degree in Engineering
·  Ability to perform calculations in the source term, shielding analysis and criticality safety disciplines
·  Ability to communicate well with regulatory authority and customers.

TRAVEL: Sporadic (5%) domestic travel.
