Position Description

You will be based either in Reading or Solihull.

Your future duties and responsibilities
As a scrum master you will be working with teams across the UK, you will be responsible for pioneering, defining and governing the Agile practice, working closely with our clients and teams, leading to provide the most effective delivery processes.

On a day to day basis you will be heavily involved in delivering projects – ensuring appropriate and efficient delivery of prioritised work.

You will facilitate all aspects of the Scrum framework including sprint planning sessions, backlog grooming sessions, daily scrums, sprint reviews and sprint retrospectives. Also you will be responsible for maintaining the Scrum team capacity plan, Scrum board (Kanban), sprint backlog, velocity charts and burn down charts. Identifying and removing impediments to the success of the Sprint and Project.

You will be managing project changes ensuring each proposed change goes through a systematic project impact analysis and is effectively communicated to stakeholders and ensure the team to be accountable for the commitments they make.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate a strong analytical, organisational, and presentation skills combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to manage expectations and issues effectively. You will need experience of establishing/maintaining a high level of customer trust and confidence.

You will require excellent Project Delivery - Successful delivery of an Agile project working as an integral part of the delivery team and managing 3rd parties.
Ideally you will have a background in software development and leading remote teams.

As an Agile Delivery Manager you will need to demonstrate experience as a scrum master or delivery manager in a client facing team, successfully implementing software development projects using agile methodologies, managing projects of medium size and complexity in a high-tech development environment with cross functional teams.

A key part of your role will be collaborating with the developers on the programme. You will require a sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership to teams and to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.
You will have solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as good knowledge of agile project management principles, practices and experience overseeing multi-function project teams, including developers, testers and business analysts. You should ideally have a track record of the successful delivery of at least one large, complex Agile project and two medium sized projects working as an integral part of the delivery team.
You will have the skills and ability to promote empowerment of the team, ensuring each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encouraging a sustainable pace with high-levels of quality for the team.
