DESCRIPTION

The WW Health and Safety Strategy & Innovation team is responsible for strategy development and execution related to managing our greatest Health & Safety risks. We need to Think Big and Innovate across the globe collaborating with Amazon businesses, geographical regions and technical subject matter experts (SMEs). We are expanding our team and looking for talented individuals who have experience with ergonomics. This role requires significant "hands-on work" completing ergonomic studies, reviewing video and tagging body postures as part of an innovative machine learning system, keep across advancements in ergonomic interventions including reviewing scientific published research, being part of thinking out of the box leveraging technology to drive reduction in injuries, deep diving into musculoskeletal injuries to ensure to ensure root-cause has been appropriately identified, data analytics and document technical writing. The successful candidate must be a self-starter, detail-oriented, effective communicator and send clear, concise and consistent messages, both verbally and in writing (English proficiency a must along with your ability to analyze data and drive results!). . It will not a role travels into the field (e.g. sites) to do hands on execution, rather it will enable the field EHS team. We will be looking for 3 fabulous individuals in our team.
· Reviews of body motion videos and tagging joint locations, plus completing Quality assurance review of video taggers work
· Perform ergonomic reviews using a variety of assessment tools (e.g. RULA, REBA, NIOSH, 3D Static Strength Prediction Program)
· Review change management requests to determine WW implications
· Review incidents related to MSD and complete deep dive to ensure root cause has been accurately identified
· Quality assurance reviews of field EHS staff ergonomic assessments
· Deep dive data analytics of musculoskeletal injuries to identify trends and provide insights into proactive program development
· Provide subject matter expertise and respond to queries from field EHS staff
· Lead or support Ergonomic projects related to specific use cases or business units
· Develop and maintain ergonomic design criterion to appropriately evaluate existing and proposed workstation solutions
· Develop ergonomic solutions to reduce musculoskeletal injuries using technology and design modification
· Deliver ergonomic solutions yielding return on investment
· Analyze incident reports and provide ergonomic expertise to eliminate potential hazards.
· Stay current on trends in technology and legislation that could necessitate adjustments or provide improvements to workplace design

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Ergonomics, Applied Science (e.g. Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy), Safety, Industrial Engineering or equivalent degree.
· Minimum of 2 years serving as an ergonomic technical resource, ergonomic program specialist, ergonomic program manager or a health & safety role which has significant responsibility in ergonomics
· Experience with a range of ergonomic assessment tools and understand the strengths, limitations and opportunities with ergo tools (e.g OWAS, ManTRA, REBA, RULA, NIOSH Lifting or similar ergonomic assessments).
· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
· Superior communication skills, including the proven ability to effectively manage, influence, and communicate with external business partners and internal teams
· Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
· Eager to be curious and has a passion to research topics and ideas, including reviewing scientific literature.
· Excellent computer skills for use of digital tools for project management and document control (Visio, MS Excel, Sharepoint).
· Strong English verbal and written communication skills; and technical aptitude (i.e. able to read and comprehend technical documentation, ability to comprehend and execute procedures, demonstrated understanding of system documentation).
