Amazon Publisher Services (APS) helps publishers of all sizes and on all channels better monetize their content through effective advertising. APS unites publishers with advertisers across devices and media channels. We work with Amazon teams across the globe to solve complex problems for our customers. The end results are Amazon products that let publishers focus on what they do best - publishing.

The UX Design team builds the reporting, campaign planning, ad management, and tools that make the complex seem simple, enabling publishers to maximize revenue opportunity across devices and media channels while improving user experience. We excel at distilling the needs of diverse publishers both large and small into experiences that balance efficiency with robust utility. The end result is an Amazon product that lets publishers focus on what they do best: publishing.

About you
We are looking for a user experience designer that loves learning, and is passionate about conceiving experiences in the abstract and then driving that vision into solid design deliverables such as complex workflows, wireframes, user interface designs, interaction models, and prototypes. You think first from the customer's perspective and set high standards for yourself and the team in developing advertising tools that help them achieve their goals. You are detail-oriented, comfortable working on highly technical team, skilled in using data to make decisions and able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

We are open to hiring in Austin, San Francisco, and New York City.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years of design experience
· An available online portfolio
· Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or related fields
· A portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating effective user-centered design solutions with measurable results
· Ability to create interactive experiences with prototyping software 
· Understanding of HTML, Javascript and CSS that informs design and interaction decisions
· Visual design acumen demonstrated through owning product design end-to-end
· Work directly with developers for implementation of designs
· Experience with designing for big data and data visualization
· Proven ability to work cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from customers, product management, and engineering
· Desire to work in a start-up style environment, where iteration is encouraged
