The Alexa Conversational Recovery team is looking for the right Technical Program Manager (TPM) to launch new features on Alexa, the Amazon cloud service that powers Echo and many other devices. We believe voice is the most natural user interface for interacting with technology across many domains. This TPM role will lead a cross-functional launch program across the entire Alexa organization to bring new Alexa features to our customers. As a Technical Program Manager for Alexa you will have an enormous opportunity to impact the customer experience, design, architecture, and implementation of a cutting edge product that will be used every day by people all over the world.
Table stakes for this Technical Program Manager position will be to anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance customer and business needs versus technical constraints across a broad array of stakeholders. Your ability as TPM to take large complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner will be critical. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, innovative Technical Program Manager who thrives on solving tough problems. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent, and leadership are essential to your success as the TPM for Alexa.

Desired profile
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related technical field or relevant work experience
- 3+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry
- Experience communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Prior working experience in a Software Development Team
- Experience managing efforts in distributed systems and/or developing large scale web applications
