System Development Engineer -AWS Builder Tools

Do you like using the latest cloud computing technologies? AWS Developer Tools organization is looking for Systems Development Engineer to improve existing workflows to make customer on-boarding and usage of Native AWS Developer Experience (NADE) seamless. We need people with good ideas, energy and motivation to continuously improve our processes and systems. We work with incredibly smart people, and we have endless opportunities to learn and yet have as many opportunities to make a real difference and make meaningful improvements.
You will build tools along with improving the existing workflows to make customer on-boarding and usage of NADE tools and services easier. Make changes and updates that address top root causes to reduce customer issues and confusion. Work in a UNIX/Linux environment and develop tools, applications and services to improve Developer productivity. Simplify the process of tracking and maintaining the key success metrics of our services, work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality products/software that would impact developers across amazon.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with distributed systems architecture
· Experience of building and supporting systems on Cloud
· Strong Linux experience
· Excellent analytical skills
· Fluent in one or more: Python, Ruby, Java, Go

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
· 2+ years of experience and proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, Ruby, Python, Go etc)
· 2+ years of experience with GNU/Linux system internals and system administration
· Operationally focused and customer obsessed
· Eager to learn, enjoy a fast paced environment
· Sharp troubleshooting and analytical abilities, proven design skills, and communication skills
