DESCRIPTION

AWS IoT Core is a managed cloud platform that lets connected devices easily and securely interact with cloud applications and other devices. AWS IoT Core can support billions of devices and trillions of messages, and can process and route those messages to AWS endpoints and to other devices reliably and securely. Our services support millions of devices across a wide range of technologies and industries.

We are looking for highly talented Systems Developers to build services and automation to efficiently operate, manage, and scale our growing fleet and customer base. You are passionate about scalability and manageability, resource optimization and fleet efficiency, telemetry and monitoring, and above all self-healing and automation.

You will:
· Be proactive in solving the problems and looking for ways to improve our services.
· Continuously develop systems and automation to improve the availability and reliability of AWS IoT Core.
· Design and build systems and automation to drive performance and scalability goals of AWS IoT Core.
· Work with all forms of technical and non-technical peers to build, deliver, and manage the infrastructure and services across all of AWS IoT.
· Have a strong sense of ownership and be obsessed with delighting our customers!
· Be a technical leader and driver for operational excellence.
A successful candidate will be well-versed in software development practices, have experience with managing and operating large production environments, and a knack for automation and scale. Come and help us grow AWS IoT and build the future of the connected world!

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BS Computer Science or other technical degree and/or related experience
· Experience in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, etc.)
· 3+ years of experience with core Internet infrastructure services (DNS, NTP, TCP/IP, routing, etc.)
· 3+ years of Software development or scripting experience (e.g. shell, bash, Python, Ruby)
· 3+ years of Linux/UNIX system administration experience in a production environment

This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. citizen and must currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and satisfy other security related requirements.
