DESCRIPTION

As a member of the operations team in Amazon Tax Technology, you will play a key role in supporting existing third party solutions that affects day-to-day tax operations, along with finding creative solutions that can minimize manual work through automation. You will solve technical challenges by troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing production software issues on both legacy systems and AWS/cloud related solutions. Additional responsibilities include supporting Tax custom build application, generating metrics and reports across systems and applications, and apply system wide security model on confidential data.

This position will work closely with software development team to identify operational needs and resolve issues improving repetitive processes. Expect to dive-deep into code, develop automated solutions and tools to better support both Tax and other Tax business partners.

The ideal candidate should be detail oriented, have strong organizational skills, able to juggle multiple tasks at once, able to work independently and can maintain professionalism under pressure. You must be able to identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages. You must be able to accurately prioritize projects, make sound judgments and work to improve the customer experience.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelors Degree
· 2+ years programming experience with at least one modern language such as C, C++, Java, or Perl
· Knowledge of web services technologies such as API, HTTP, REST, JSON
