Job Description:

   

The Solution Architect is a key member of the SMB Solution Management team and is responsible for the overall design of the end to end Storage solution and mapping customer business requirements to systems/technical requirements. The Solution Architect works as a team member along with the Solution Product Manager (Storage), Storage Hardware & Software Architects and supporting team members to deliver the complete solution for the customer.

·  Participate in Storage process flow analysis and process redesign along with the Storage Solution Manager
·  Share best practices and be consultative to customer throughout duration of the project
·  Produce a detailed functional design document to match customer requirements
·  Develop SMB Solution related to NAS, SAN and Software Defined technologies
·  Complete and co/implement a configuration and deployment guides
·  Co-team with the Storage Hardware and Software Architects to produce a technical specification for the Solution
·  Provide current best practice and 3rd Party solution alternatives as part of the functional design document
·  Participate in training design, documentation and delivery efforts in concert with the Storage Solution Manager
·  Participate and lead, when needed, project meetings with the customer
·  Participate in internal meetings as required

Responsibilities:

·  Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into solution designs
·  Knowledge of web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, SMB application architecture as well as experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints
·  Must demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering a solution that optimizes architecture activities across company needs, business constraints and technological realities
·  Should have participated in, and be familiar with, H/W & S/W and Agile (Scrum) project methodologies
·  10-15 years of relevant experience in Product and/or Solution architectures
·  3-6 years of integration and/or implementation experience between H/W & S/W

Knowledge and Skills:

·  Expert team skills and ability to cross functionally drive/influence work through others, ability to mentor and lead teams to achieve results for complex, ambiguous projects.
·  Expert skills in cost efficient solution building, financial performance metric creation and analysis.
·  Expert business acumen and knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection.
·  Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry and ability to provide product specific technical training to the team.
