At Amazon we put our customer’s first in everything we do. Within AVS (Alexa Voice Services) our customers are 3rd party device makers looking to incorporate Alexa into their products. We partner with device makers and developers to help them both integrate pre-built Alexa platform solutions into their product as well as explore new Alexa features for their product segments through prototyping, research, and design development. We are a strategic and well-funded area of growth for Amazon where you’ll be involved in all aspects of Alexa's product, partnership and development.

The Alexa Voice Services design team is seeking a UX Program Manager to provide creative and technical expertise within the UX Design practice. In this role you will help guide a world class, distributed creative team and work closely with key stakeholders and senior partners to deliver innovative end-to-end solutions that are effortless, intuitive and delightful for our customers.

This UX Program Manager should have deep knowledge and practical experience in software design, from concept creation to development and release. The right candidate is comfortable in a senior position, helping to direct others, while also able to take direction, and work in a team environment. You demonstrate excellent communication and decision-making skills. You are at ease partnering with cross-discipline teams in representing the UX Design Team. You think first from the customer’s perspective and set high standards for yourself and your team in developing amazing experiences. And most of all, you love fostering a positive, inspiring environment for people to do the best work of their careers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Working across design and Amazon to create strong relationships with other senior leadership / teams stakeholders
· Ability to think strategically about UX project management, forecasting for shifts in resources and direction with a focused and harmonious demeanor
· Working closely with Design, Development and Test leadership to create a successful work environment, processes and roadmap
· Be able to work creatively through and around perceived limitations and/or challenges imposed by the delivery platform to create delightful experiences for developers and customers.
· Lead others and set direction in the face of ambiguity.
· Participate in annual planning and an end-to-end design process.
· Actively participate in concept development and design iteration as part of product teams.
· Concept, implement and measure best practices and initiatives driving team culture, diversity and inclusion
· Lead with kindness, clear communication and a touch of swagger.
· Super passionate about emerging technology, experience design and creative innovation.
· Has a strong conspiracy theory on Game of Thrones

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years experience as a Producer, UX PM, or similar role
· 3+ years experience leading a cross-functional team through at least three full product development cycles
· 2+ years of experience in senior design, program management or related roles
