Job description

DESCRIPTION

Amazon strives to be Earth's most customer-centric company where people can find and discover virtually anything they want to buy online. By giving customers more of what they want - low prices, vast selection, and convenience - Amazon continues to grow and evolve as a world-class e-commerce platform. Founded by Jeff Bezos, the Amazon.com website started in 1995 as a place to buy books because of the unique customer experience the Web could offer book lovers. Bezos believed that only the Internet could offer customers the convenience of browsing a selection of millions of book titles in a single sitting. During the first 30 days of business, Amazon fulfilled orders for customers in 50 states and 45 countries - all shipped from his Seattle-area garage. Amazon's evolution from Web site to e-commerce partner to development platform is driven by the spirit of innovation that is part of the company's DNA. The world's brightest technology minds come to Amazon.com to research and develop technology that improves the lives of shoppers and sellers around the world.

We have open HR opportunities in Luxembourg, London, Munich, Paris, Madrid, Milan, Prague, Dublin. The people are what make things go here at Amazon. Our HR team influences our business leaders using data to drive important decisions. Using both strategy and tactics, HR professionals find and develop talented people who fit both the job and our "peculiar" ways.

If you thrive in a challenging and fast-paced environment, you can have a huge impact on Amazon's growth as we attract and retain the highest quality talent and then support them once they have joined the business.
As Amazon continues to grow and innovate as a business in EU, we need to find the right people to work with us and drive our success. At the moment we have a number of open opportunities in the HR team at different levels across the EU. The main areas include, but are not limited to:

HR Business Partners / HR Managers:

Our HRBPs and HRMs are experts in everything from employee relations to performance management, talent management to succession planning and employee engagement to legislative compliance. They are equipped to work at the heart of Amazon and act as business partners to line managers in all areas of the employee cycle.

Recruiters & Recruiting Managers:

The Talent Acquisition team is focused to find and attract the most talented people to Amazon, while keeping our hiring bar high. They oversee the recruitment process for roles across different businesses, building strong relationships with hiring managers in order to source great candidates who will help our business grow. They manage budgets, agencies and job postings and above all promote the best possible candidate experience.

Compensation & Benefits:

Our C&B team partners with client-facing HR colleagues and local business line management to identify and address compensation issues, and evangelize Amazon's total compensation philosophy and strategy. They focus on activities to develop, implement, and administer compensation policies and programs with compliance understanding. They also take ownership for specific components such as the strategy, design, policies, guidelines, and implementation of a specific compensation or benefit program.

Learning & Development:

Our L&D teams train and develop Amazonians. At European level they create and drive people development strategies throughout the organisation. At country level, they induct and train thousands of associates, specialists and managers a year. Their challenge is to quickly turn people who know nothing about Amazon into Amazonians who can deliver our promise to the customer and support our growth.

Global Mobility:

Our EU global mobility team manages all aspects of global mobility including consulting with the business, cost estimations, working closely with relocation, immigration and tax services vendors to provide the best candidates experience to current and future employees moving to and within EU.
