Amazon Go is looking for an exceptionally motivated and talented Category Manager with a strong customer focus to lead a Non-Perishables Grocery category. The Category Manager will have responsibility for assortment, product selection, vendor management, pricing and profitability. The Category Manager is responsible for developing and executing a highly productive category strategy as well as managing category financials through pricing, cost improvements and inventory management and planning. The CM aligns buying activities with the Inventory Planning team to acquire inventory in a cost-effective and efficient way while obtaining quality products our customers want to buy. The CM coordinates marketing activities to drive profitable sales, and interacts with vendors to secure selection. CMs are responsible for buying system data input and integrity, as well as Key Performance Indicators for operating the business, and work with management to address all aspects of buying, market trends assessment, pricing, and product availability. This Sr. CM role also strategically sets the direction for critical high visibility categories, and is a key thought leader for overall Go strategy.
