As a Software Development Manager, you will lead a team of software development engineersto deliver solutions that improve content quality of video, audio and images using machine learning, speech recognition, natural language processing, computer vision, and to help drive the ML vision for our products. You are responsible for: working with your stakeholders to develop your roadmap and bring value to the Prime Video offering, collaborating with partner teams to schedule and integrate your solutions into the processing pipeline, hiring and growing your team to deliver business value, and raising the quality bar in your solutions.

The ideal candidate will be an expert in the areas of data science, machine learning and statistics. You will have hands-on experience leading multiple simultaneous product development initiatives as well as be able to balance technical leadership with strong business judgment to make the right decisions about technology, models and methodologies choices. You will strive for simplicity, and demonstrate significant creativity and high judgment backed by statistical proof.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, or closely related field
· Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through launch
· Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Experience in partnering with Product and Program management teams
· 4+ years of experience managing engineers
· 4+ years of experience driving new feature prioritization, development, and delivery
· 2+ years managing a team working on large scale data analysis and ML model building.
