The Marketplace team is a very dynamic group, interfacing with a diverse internal and external community of software service sellers over a wide variety of technologies, with a rapidly growing audience of buyers from different market segments. We are looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to build a new team which will extend the types of software that can be purchased through the Marketplace. As the leader and a founding member of this new team, you will be responsible for building the team, helping craft a vision, building a roadmap, and delivering. Additionally, you will have significant influence on our overall AWS Marketplace strategy, drive system architecture, and spearhead best practices for your team.
In this role, a commitment to team work, hustle, and strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners) are absolute requirements. You should be somebody who enjoys working on complex system software, is customer-centric, and feels strongly about building good software as well as making that software achieve its operational goals.
This is a great opportunity to help establish the new team, figuring out what systems it owns, how the team should organize, what best practices they'll adopt/maintain, etc. Its early days still for the Marketplace team, and a great time to join and make your mark.

· BS in Computer Science or equivalent
· 5+ years of industry experience, including 2+ years as a Development Manager
· Proven track record of hiring and managing high performing engineering teams
