The AWS Global Business Operations (GBO) team is looking for an experienced and innovative Software Development Manager who will serve as a single-threaded owner for the development of greenfield full stack applications that orchestrate complex business processes like sales planning, negotiations, contract execution, customer trade promotions , billing and more. The leader will be responsible for building and running multiple software products for a broad array of internal and external AWS customers.

You will be responsible for driving the development schedule from design to release, anticipating problems, making appropriate tradeoffs to manage risk, and clearly communicating goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes.

In this role you will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers, to create world-class corporate level systems that support Amazon's AWS global footprint. You must be willing to insist on the highest standards for quality, maintainability, and performance. You will ensure that engineering best practices are followed and that software is designed to be highly-available, dynamically scalable, and resilient to continuity threats. You will own the goals and development roadmap of your team.

The right candidate will possess a strong program management and system delivery background, will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects, and will have a well-rounded technical background in current web and object oriented technologies. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an ever changing entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. Strategic thinking, maturity, negotiation skills, and the ability to influence are essential to success in this role.

Profil recherché


· 5+ years of experience building and leading development teams that design and deliver highly reliable and scalable systems
· 2+ years of direct people leadership experience
