The S3 Frontend Stack team owns the systems and automation that are responsible for serving the S3 API to customers like get, put, copy and delete API's. Our systems must be designed to handle wildly varying access patterns and unprecedented load as AWS continues to grow at an incredible rate.

We are looking for a passionate and innovative technical leader with strong delivery track record. You will be building and leading a team of highly skilled engineers to deliver the next generation of one of S3's critical systems. You will have the opportunity to utilize your experience managing a team of multi-discipline developers to deliver cutting-edge services and innovations in hardware with the highest industry quality and a high degree of innovation. You must be detail oriented and hands-on with a desire to stay close to the technology. At the same time you must have a strong business acumen and judgment and be deeply customer-centric. You will be leading a team using agile development practices and must be able to mentor and motivate the team to deliver superior results.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
· Experience in leading software design and coding in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C#, C/C++, Ruby, Python, or JavaScript
· 5+ years of software development experience
· 3+ years of management experience leading a world-class team
