Amazon WorkDocs is a cloud based document storage and sharing service with strong administrative controls and feedback capabilities. WorkDocs is more than just the home for user files - it aims at being the simple, secure and economical cloud based document management service. It also aims to be home for all the conversations, collaboration and activity surrounding uses, team, and documents. To enable the vision and asks from our customers, we are looking for experienced and visionary software development manager to join our mission and build whole set of new capabilities for our customers. This is an opportunity to be part of a start-up team for a new AWS business that promises to go big.
As a Software Development Manager for Amazon WorkDocs, you will lead a team of engineers in design, development, and deployment of a critical set of services and applications. You will make analytical data-driven decisions, apply your strong technical ability to audit and design systems, manage engineering projects and evangelize your team's products and ideas. You will hire the best, mentor and develop your team. Manage and execute against project plans and delivery commitments. At the same time you must have a strong business acumen and judgment. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with cutting-edge systems, is customer-centric, and thrives on the challenge of implementing solutions at an AWS scale.
The ideal candidate for this role will be entirely comfortable with full-stack solutions using AWS s (S3, DynamoDB, Athena, Lambda, SQS, Storage Gateway, SWF to name a few) as well as developing client applications that run on desktop as well as mobile devices. This individual would understand how to architect multi-platform client software solutions on Windows, MacOS, Linux and mobile platforms.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Strong technical judgement and demonstrated ability to lead software design and coding in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C#, C/C++, Ruby, Python, or JavaScript
7+ years of software development experience.
3+ years of management experience leading a world-class team
