Amazon WorkSpaces is revolutionizing the end user computing function of Enterprise IT by enabling customers to easily provision cloud-based desktops that allow end-users to access the documents, applications and resources they need with the device of their choice, including laptops, iPads, Kindle Fire, Android tablets, and zero clients. The WorkSpaces Management Suite (WMS) team is taking the disruption further by building a toolset that aims to radically simplify an IT Admin’s job in managing a fleet of WorkSpaces. We are leveraging the power of AWS to build a variety of capabilities including but not limited to fleet management, software deployment, patch management and, monitoring and analytics, all in a massively scalable way. By providing a data driven, highly automated way to manage their fleet of WorkSpaces, we enable our customers to have greater control and make better decisions.

We are looking for SDEs who are intimately aware of the challenges of managing desktops at scale and can design elegant solutions for eliminating that pain for WorkSpace customers. As a SDE, you will play a leadership role in designing, developing and deploying solutions end-to-end, with innovative experiences that will drive customer adoption and satisfaction. Given that WMS is still in a very early stage, you will play a pivotal role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables and build quick prototypes or proofs of concept in partnership with other technology leaders within the team. You will work with a variety of core languages and technologies including Java, C++, C#, Linux/Windows systems and drivers technologies. You will leverage Big Data and Machine Learning technologies to process data at scale and build insights. You will mentor SDEs and help in the creation of a technically strong and highly productive team.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
· 5+ years experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
· Strong skills in one of these languages: Java, C, C++, C#
· Strong knowledge of data structures & algorithms
