Amazon Publisher Services (APS) helps publishers of all sizes increase monetization. APS unites publishers with advertisers across devices and media channels. We work with Amazon teams across the globe to solve complex problems for our customers. The end results are Amazon products that let publishers focus on what they do best - publishing.

The APS Canary is a team focused on prototyping and testing new ideas. We are looking for an experienced backend engineer to design and build new services. You will work with customers to identify opportunities to invent and simplify advertising. Your research will find novel ways to solve problems and test hypotheses. You will work with core engineering to productize successful proof of concept systems.

Responsibilities:
· Communicate ideas for new products and services
· Scope experimental systems with customers and other stakeholders
· Make architecture and integration decisions for Amazon's advertising systems.
· Lead development of customer ready experimental services
· Collaborate with other teams to productize experimental services

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 3+ years of experience of software development experience
· 3+ years of experience designing experiments and using data to inform decision making
· 1+ years of experience developing real-time distributed software
· 1+ years of experience collaborating with customers and business stakeholders
· 1+ years of experience using Amazon Web Services or similar cloud technologies
· Exposure to different programming languages and databases - know how to choose the right tool for the job
