DESCRIPTION

Mobile and Amazon Devices (MAAD) Downloads is a full-stack feature team building the future of Prime Video Downloads. We are building new experiences for our millions of customers worldwide to download their Prime Video content, empowering their ever-increasing desire to watch videos anytime, anywhere in a mobile world.

You will be a full-stack engineer building customer-facing features on Android, iOS, and backend services. We are a new feature team and you will help define our foundation for innovating and refining our product. You will own highly-available services, components within mobile client applications, optimized data storage and reporting, and the implementation of business rules driving the whole experience.

We are looking for engineers who work to empower others, are customer driven, and embrace a high level of operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the development and maintenance of key system features
· You will investigate design approaches, prototype technology and evaluate technical feasibility, on your own and with other team members
· Be able to operate in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules
· Establish architectural principles, select design patterns, and mentor team members on their appropriate application

QUALIFICATIONS DE BASE

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
· Proven experience in Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, complexity analysis, data structures, and object-oriented design
· Strong problem solving skills and an ability to handle ambiguous challenges
· Ability to take a problem, create the design and estimate the time to implement the design autonomously
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively cross-group, with a passion for team collaboration
· Proven ability to work in an ownership and results oriented culture

QUALIFICATIONS APPRÉCIÉES

· Post-graduate degree in Computer Science: Master's or Ph.D
· Experience working with or on mobile applications
· Experience leading and mentoring other software development engineers
· Experience with distributed systems
· Experience on high throughput services
· Mastery of the tools of the trade, including continuous delivery, system operations, monitoring, and web services
