Job description

DESCRIPTION

IMDb is the world's most popular and authoritative source for movie, TV and celebrity content. The IMDb consumer web site and mobile apps have a combined audience of more than 250 million unique monthly visitors.
If you love movies, TV and celebrities -- and also have a passion for web services, cloud computing and AWS technologies -- come join the team which powers the core IMDb experience for many millions of customers, worldwide!
The Search Platform team at IMDb develops many of the highly scaled web services and search indexes which supply data to our web sites, mobile apps, and to partner teams throughout IMDb and Amazon. We are looking for passionate, hardworking, results-oriented engineers to build innovative products that scale to hundreds of millions of search requests a day. You will work extensively with AWS services providing full stack support to build high scale and low latency systems used by hundreds of millions of customers worldwide. Engineers at IMDb are problem solvers who collaborate closely with other engineers, systems engineers and product management.
In this role, you will have enormous opportunity to shape the IMDb experience used every day, by millions of passionate movie and TV enthusiasts, around the globe. Active participation in brainstorming sessions, architecture and design reviews, as well as code reviews, is expected. A love of movies and TV is a big plus.
IMDb is owned by Amazon, though we operate as an independent subsidiary. IMDb employees are full-fledged Amazon employees, which means you reap the benefits of working for a Fortune 500 company while also working on a smaller, more nimble team. It is the best of both worlds!
Amazon is an Equal Opportunity-Affirmative Action Employer - Minority/Female/Disability/Vet
